Dear Fishing Friends!
It is only a few months since this year’s International Hethland Balaton Feeder Cup, which is always of great interest, took place and the ink is still dry on the certificates and the excellent summary has been broadcasted on Fishing & Hunting Television, but we are already enthusiastically organizing the 9th edition of the 2024 competition.
This year, in 2023, with the participation of nearly 100 competitors from five countries, we held the event without any interruptions and after its success, there is no question that in 2024 – well, already this year – we will start again to organize the IX International Hethland Balaton Feeder Cup here in the fabulously beautiful town of Zamárdi.
Taking into account the regulations and predetermined dates for national and international competitions,
we have decided that the IX International Hethland Balaton Feeder Cup will be held on 10-12 May 2024.
This time we are preparing for an even longer stretch of beach, more competitors and a bigger event than ever before! But that’s just the competition itself, and what’s more!
Of course, as always, we are also thinking of the upcoming generation of anglers, so the outsourced teaching day will take place on the preceding Wednesday, the morning of 8 May. This open day will mark the start of a series of programmes, which will once again provide students with an active and colourful programme of activities to learn about fish conservation, nature protection and other aquaculture-related topics. But to put their skills into practice, young anglers will also have the chance to take part in our now-established children’s fishing competition over the weekend.
In addition to all this, we would also like to introduce you to some new features, as an international competition is not only about competition, but also a useful experience for even the most experienced anglers. That’s why we’re also organising some interesting professional lectures with speakers whose ideas and advice are worth trying out. And speaking of trying out, have you ever thought how much more effective it would be if you could immediately try out the equipment, tools, bait, etc. that you like? From Wednesday onwards, our exhibitors will be bringing you the best rods, reels, lines, bait, etc. that an angler could possibly need. So all this starts at the same time as the other activities, before the tournament actually starts!
But that’s not all!
The International Hethland Balaton Feeder Cup has always been outstanding in the way it has increased the number of prizes and gifts to be won year after year, not to mention that we always make sure that no competitor who has made it through the training day and the two days of competition goes home without an impressive trophy and valuable prizes!
Last year, the KM-300 rubber scooter offered by the Kolibri Rubber Scooter Webshop was a great success and was found by a raffle. It is planned that this year there will be one more who will be favoured by Fortuna, and what’s more! Now we’ve dreamed bigger than ever for you!

And here’s the first and one of the most sensational pieces of information!
Three lucky anglers will have the chance to discover the breathtaking world of Italy’s ponds and rivers, each with a 1-week catfishing trip! If you want to be in the hat to be drawn for these winners, all you have to do is put yourself out there and fish a good one on Friday training day and the two days of the competition!
And just to let you know: our surprises aren’t over yet, there are plenty of valuable prizes waiting for you!
The venue (Hethland Resort Zamárdi 8621, Kiss Ernő utca 3.), the technical rules, the sportsmanship, the great atmosphere, the Esemiszom-dinom-danom and the entry fee, which will be 40.000 HUF in 2024 as it was last year.
